Is Land Rover and Range Rover The Same?

Is Land Rover and Range Rover The Same?

Driving a Land Rover feels great. But sometimes, small questions pop up. What if you lose your key? How do you connect your phone? When does your warranty end? These may seem like little things, but they matter when you're trying to enjoy your drive without worry. So here are simple answers to the most asked questions by Land Rover owners.

Lost or Damaged Your Key? Here's What to Do

If your Land Rover key is lost or broken, don't panic. You can get a replacement from a certified Land Rover retailer like ours. But to keep your SUV safe, you'll need to visit in person with valid ID and your vehicle documents. That way, we can make sure the new key is properly linked to your SUV. It also helps block the old key, so no one else can use it.

Can I Change My Own Key Fob Battery?

Yes, you can. Most Land Rover smart keys use a CR2032 battery. If your dashboard says the battery is low, it's time for a new one. Just slide out the emergency key, gently open the fob, and replace the battery with the positive side facing up. Once done, snap the case shut and slide the key blade back in. It only takes a few minutes.

How Do I Connect My Phone to the SUV?

Land Rover models come with Bluetooth® built in. To connect your phone, go into your settings and turn on Bluetooth. On the vehicle's screen, select "Phone" then "Pair New Device." Choose your phone from the list. You'll get a code on both screens. If they match, just tap "Pair." Your phone and vehicle will now work together. You can take calls or play music hands-free.

What If My Vehicle Needs a Software Update?

Some Land Rover vehicles support over-the-air software updates. That means you don't have to visit a service centre. If your vehicle has a strong Wi-Fi connection and the system asks you to update, just follow the steps on screen. Updates help fix bugs and improve features. If your model doesn't support wireless updates, you can still get help at a Land Rover retailer.

When Does My Warranty End?

In Canada, Land Rover offers a New Vehicle Limited Warranty for 4 years or 80,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. If you're not sure when yours ends, check your service booklet or contact your local retailer. We can look it up based on your VIN. You can also ask about extended coverage if your warranty is close to ending.
