Unveiling New Defender OCTA, the most impressive all-terrain luxury machine

The wheels are always turning at Land Rover. Be it an exclusive art collaboration, like last year's Range Rover Sport SV EDITION ONE MIAMI that debuted at Miami Art Week, or the first Range Rover Electric prototype that's currently in its testing phase in Sweden, Land Rover is an arbiter of luxury that's always at the forefront of the ever-changing cultural zeitgeist.

It makes sense then that there's been much anticipation around New Defender OCTA. The all-new, all-terrain performance SUV aims to redefine the standards of high-performance off-road driving in one tidy package.

In the lead-up to the global reveal, which took place on July 3, Defender held a series of exclusive client events, Defender Elements. It gave attendees the chance to experience Defender OCTA around the world including Germany, Italy, Dubai, Japan, the UK and the United States.

"Defender OCTA will be synonymous with mastering epic adventures in heightened luxury," says Marc Cameron, Managing Director, Defender. "That adventure starts with the Defender Elements events. Each venue and experience reflects the iconic Defender DNA in an authentic and original way and I can't wait to welcome the first clients to begin their Defender OCTA journeys with us."

It's clear that the Defender OCTA isn't just another SUV in the segment. It's the most capable Defender ever built, all while remaining at pique luxury. Some of the stand-out features for this all-new machine include the 6D Dynamics suspension technology, which offers unparalleled stability and control, even when put up against the most unforgiving terrain. This advanced system adapts to the road conditions in real time, ensuring a smooth and safe ride.

The comprehensive customization options also make the Defender OCTA rise above rest. From luxury materials, like premium leathers, to design enhancements, like bespoke paint, owners have the chance to completely personalize their vehicle, making it a true reflection of their taste.

Defender OCTA's V8 Twin Turbo mild-hybrid engine was put to the test in on-road and off-road scenarios. It went through more rigorous testing than any Defenderin history. Engineers ran more than 13,960 high-performance tests in different conditions around the world. This included track time at Germany's Nürburgring Nordschleife; wet asphalt at Ladoux in France; icy conditions in Sweden; rally racing at Lastours in France; crawling rocks in Moab, Utah; and navigating sandy terrain in Dubai's deserts.
