Sometimes the most welcomed automotive upgrades come in the form of attractive visuals and tech tools. That's exactly what Land Rover has done with the 2024 Discovery Sport.

The all-new SUV is the epitome of modern luxury and has been most recently redesigned to increase its already versatile capabilities. Really, it's as much of an SUV to move you from point A to point B as it is a piece of modern technology.

"Discovery Sport now offers a groundbreaking suite of technology features for the whole family thanks to the introduction of the latest Pivi Pro," says James Sanderson, Lifecycle Chief Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover. "The reductive new centre console complements the refreshed exterior and liberates even more generous stowage areas. Meanwhile, its range of power options, all-terrain capability technologies and impressive flexibility with up to seven seats mean it is truly capable of taking everything family life can throw at it."

Sanderson is right. With a configuration that allows for up to seven seats, the Discovery Sport is as versatile as it is spacious. In fact, there are 24 possible seat configurations (not for the Discovery Sport PHEV models, though). For example, the second row of seats can slide and recline offering a valuable 40:20:40 split. With the rear seats folded down, the load area can accommodate 1,794 litres and the powered tailgate supports the loading and unloading of precious cargo without worry.

One of the more noteworthy tech upgrades is the curved 11.4-inch touchscreen. It uses Land Rover's trusted Pivi Pro system and is compatible with both Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The all-new touchscreen now houses some of the controls that were once physical buttons, including those that control items like the fan, heat and air conditioning. Those features are now housed within the touchscreen, freeing up space on the dash.

"Discovery Sport is a characterful, modern, compact SUV, with a versatile interior and intuitive technology - perfect for active family life," adds Gerry McGovern, Chief Creative Officer at Jaguar Land Rover.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport will also support the brand's efforts for a greener future and available in both a plug-in electric hybrid and mild hybrid with the P300e offering WLTP-certified electric range up to 61 km and CO2 emissions from 33g/km. Charging is easier than ever, too, with a zero to 80 per cent charge doable in 30 minutes with the standard DC charging.
