The Range Rover Velar is a stylish urban warrior with off-road capabilities

The Range Rover Velar sometimes doesn't get as much attention as its Sport peer. They're similar, sharing much Range Rover DNA, but the five-seater Velar, with its advanced all-wheel drive system, is touted as the most stylish urban SUV in the Range Rover line-up -- just as capable of cruising on city pavement as it is on an unpaved country road.
There are a number of reasons to consider the Range Rover Velar in 2023, and we've rounded up four of them:
A new high-performance trim on 2023 models called the HST
The HST trim is hyper focused on high performance with configurable dynamics and air suspension. The paint option, Arroios Grey, is offered exclusively for the HST trim along with 21" Style 5047 5 split-spoke alloy wheels in Gloss Black.
"The new Range Rover Velar HST offers a combination of carefully curated design enhancements and chassis features; to add to its breadth of capability, without compromising its trademark refinement and comfort," explained Finbar McFall, Brand Director at Land Rover.
The HST performance trim is significantly more powerful than the base model with a 3.0L engine and 395 hp (247 hp as standard) that motivates the Velar from zero to 100km/h in 5.5 seconds.
Safety has been carefully considered
The Velar also features the latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technologies. Find built-in intelligent technology, like Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, which offers slight automatic adjustments that help keep you in the centre of the lane you're in.
The 2023 Velar comes with tech you'd expect from a high-end high-performance SUV, including the Park Assist Pack add-on. In addition to the standard rear camera, the Park Assist Pack boasts a 3D Surround Camera and Park Assist, helping the Velar perform basic parking maneuvers.
